My Gîte Rural is in a big XVIII century house, just on the left getting into the village, after the fortified gate. The only street in this XII-XVIII century village is a cul-de-sac in which speed is limited to 30 ks/h and parking is forbidden. You can park your car in the roofed yard of the gîte and not far away in 2 village car-parks. Both car-parks are very safe at night thanks to the close 80 inhabitants of Biran.
The logos Gîtes de France and Chambres d'Hôtes are on the right of the main door.
The Gîte is in the right side of the house. The 2 lounge/dining room windows face North-West and have a view on the main street, the private garden and swimming pool. On the right of these windows is a paved yard with :
- at the end is the laundry (washing machine, drier, iron and pegs.)
- at the top of a staircase, on the first floor, 2 doors to the gîte ( kitchen and hall).
A long corridor separates the Northern side (kitchen and lounge/dining room) from the Southern side ( the 3 bedrooms and the bathroom).
The modern kitchen is equipped with all the necessary items for maximum 5 persons, except a dish washer. It is small (10 m²) but it is functional.
The lounge/dining room is very big (40 m²) and comfortable with carpets, ancient furnitures, a big leather 3 peoples sofa, 2 leather armchairs and restfoot, a beautiful styled table with 6 straw-chairs, 1 colour TV set, 1 mini-hi-fi K7 + CD+ radio chain, olds paintings and printings on the stoned walls with tapestries.
The rooms face South-West. Adorning and furniture are from the XIX century. They have view on a little valley, quiet meadows and woods.
The parents room (1,40 bed) has got a basin and a bidet, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. The floor is covered with carpets.
A chilren room (1,20 bed ) has got a big and a little board, a table and a chair. The floor is covered with carpets.
The smallest last children room (8,6 m²) has got a Louis XVI bed (0,90), a corner board, a table and a chair.
The gîte windows and the kitchen french window have got very strong wooden shutters which are a high protection against coldness and heat.
